What's the best time for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra?

May to September. Peak season is June–August when the weather is most stable. Yatra is closed in winter due to extreme cold and snow.

Do I need a separate visa for Tibet?

Yes — you need a Chinese group visa + Tibet Travel Permit, both arranged by us as part of the package. Allow 7–10 days in Kathmandu for processing (helicopter route requires fewer days).

How fit do I need to be?

Above-average fitness is required. The parikrama crosses Dolma La pass at 5,630m. We recommend daily 5km walks for 2 months prior. Travellers above 70 are not permitted.

Is helicopter yatra safer for high altitude?

Helicopter route compresses the journey but reduces acclimatisation time. We add 1 extra night at Mansarovar to compensate. Both options carry oxygen support throughout.

What if weather delays the helicopter?

Buffer days are built into the heli itinerary. In rare cases of extended delays, we shift you to the overland route or arrange next-available flight at no extra cost.
